Your child will usually have a math page to complete each evening that will reinforce what we are learning in class. On the back of this page your child will have a reading homework page that allows them to practice comprehension and/or vocabulary skills. This page needs to be turned in the following day.
It would also be very beneficial to spend a few moments each day helping your child review addition facts, practice the subtraction facts to make sure they are memorized. The students will be expected to memorize the multiplication facts 0-9 by the end of the year.
Reading aloud 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, will help build confidence and improve your child's fluency, expression, and word accuracy, as well as comprehension as they tell you about that they have read.
